Patrick Emmett’s (Aghabog & Currin) will be hosting O’ Hanrahan’s, Carlow in the John West Féile Peile na nÓg and will be competing in Division 7
O’ Hanrahan’s GAA, Carlow was founded in 1919 and it is named after Michael O’ Hanrahan. The club are known locally in Carlow as the ‘The Blues’. The club has won 16 County Championship winning 13 from 1927 to 1961. The 80’s saw a new generation of footballers when the juvenile section was restructured. In 1987 O’ Hanrahran’s won U14 championship followed by an U16 championship. One outstanding achievements is winning the All Ireland OG Sports trophy in 1998. More success was to follow in 1999 where their baron spell ended. The first of a 3 in a row in Carlow Senior Club Championship and Leinster Club Championship. The club currently caters for U6’s up to U18’s and have 3 adult teams the current U14 team are defending league and county champions having won in 2016.
