Seniors: We won by 2-13 to 2-10 at home to Latton in the County Monaghan Credit Unions Senior Football League on Wednesday.
Reserves: We fell to the narrowest of defeats away to Clontibret in the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division 1A last Wednesday. Goals from Shane McMahon and Paddy Connolly had us in prime position in the first half, but we conceded penalties either side of the interval. The scores remained tight until the end and when Peter Coyle kicked a fine point late on, we looked set to grab a share of the spoils, only for Clontibret to hit a last-gasp winner to make the final score 2-14 to 2-13. We have another away game in Division 1A against Donaghmoyne next Wednesday at 8pm.
Team: Dylan McAree; Aidan Connell, Mustafa Gamal, Jamie Shields; Conor Forde, Carl Foentjies, Thomas Croarkin; Peter Coyle, Aodhán Óg McAnespie (Capt.); Dylan McKenna, Shane McMahon, Niall Greenan; Conor Duffy, Paddy Connolly, Colm Shalvey.
Subs: Dessie McGarry for Shalvey, Conor Devlin for McKenna.
We were away to Rockcorry in Division 2B on Friday. Despite a slow start, we remained in touch throughout the first half, with a goal from Dylan McKenna edging us ahead. Rockcorry hit their second major midway through the second half, however, to open up a gap that we were unable to bridge, as we lost out on a 2-10 to 1-8 scoreline. We are due to host Clones this Sunday at 3.30.

Our Division Five team earned a valuable win in a high-scoring game. Daragh Croarkin marked his return from injury with some good scores in the first half, while Luke and Mark McManus were also on target as we built up a 5-6 to 3-3 lead. Conor Treanor and Josh Kelly added their names to the scoresheet off the bench as our lads pulled further clear, before holding off a late comeback from Donaghmoyne to win by 9-9 to 7-7.
Team and scorers: Oisín Reilly; Jordan Crampton, Michael McMorrow; Shea Swift, Gregory O’Connell; Dáire Sheridan (Capt.), Ben Myers; Mark McManus (1-0), Jake McConnon; Daragh Croarkin (4-4, 0-1 ’45), Luke McManus (2-3).

There was disappointment for our Division One team. We made a promising start, with Shay Cooney, Jake Power and Jamie Coyle on target, but a very accurate Donaghmoyne team took over to earn a commanding half-time lead. Shay, Jake and Nathan Lavery were on target in the second half, but the game was beyond our reach.

U-12s: Our Under-12 Division One team returned to winning ways in a competitive contest at home to Scotstown on Monday. This game was tight throughout, before a purple patch saw our lads pull clear midway through the second half, thanks to a Fionán Ó Gallchóir goal and points from the likes of Oisín Reilly, Eoin O’Hanlon and Shay Kelly. Some determined defending saw our lads secure the win on a 2-12 to 0-13 scoreline.
