Clontibret Club Notes

Clontibret

Credit Unions SFL Clontibret 0-8 Latton 1-11

The very young team that represented us in this Star game in Latton on Saturday held their own for much of the match, but a second half Latton goal was the turning point that created the gap we couldn’t bridge. Next up is another star game in Magheracloone on Wed 21st June.

Platinum Tanks RFL

Reserve highlight of the week is the McKeown Cup against Corduff at Blackhill on Sunday 18th June at 5pm. Meanwhile the RFL Div 1 team have a visit from Monaghan Harps on Wednesday 14th June and then away to Latton on Wednesday 28th June

County Team

Well done to the boys in Breffni Park on Sunday where we ended up with three men on the team for the Ulster SFC quarter final clash with Cavan, all playing their part in a great win.

Mansy’s Mungo Challenge:

Following on from his Man of the Match performance in Breffni Park on Sunday last Mansy’s next big match is when he takes on St Mungo’s at Clontibret Community Centre next Saturday night 17th June at 8pm. This is a very unusual and funny show that is not to be missed and is the last ever performance of this particular show which traces the fortunes of a struggling GAA club as they try to field a team for the championship. Make sure you have your ticket and be there for an 8pm sharp throw in and even if you haven’t yet sourced a ticket come along anyway and we’ll squeeze you in
