The action centres on the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Championships this weekend. All four O’Duffy Cup quarter-finals take place on Sunday, with Cremartin, Donaghmoyne, Latton and Monaghan Harps at home to Magheracloone, Scotstown, Clontibret and Truagh respectively. Killanny travel to Clones for the first Crawley Cup quarter-final on Friday evening, while Sunday’s ties see Ballybay, Carrickmacross and Seán McDermotts host Éire Óg, Tyholland and Doohamlet respectively. Clontibret and Killeevan meet in the McKeown Cup on Friday, with Oram travelling to Corduff on Saturday.
There is also one Reserve Football League Division Three game on Sunday, namely Inniskeen v Killeevan. Oram have to go to Corduff for the second time this week for a RFL Division Three game on Wednesday, when there is also a Division 1A fixture between Donaghmoyne and Latton.
The Silver Hill Farm Minor Hurling League semi-finals are down for decision on Sunday, with holders Monaghan Harps hosting Castleblayney and Carrickmacross taking on Cootehill. The last round of the Silver Hill Farm Development Hurling League takes place on Thursday, with Craobh Rua up against Truagh and Monaghan Harps facing Castleblayney.
The Gerry’s Prepared Veg. juvenile football competitions continue throughout this week, with the U-12 Football Leagues getting underway.
The only county team in action this week are the U-17 hurlers, who host Longford in round three of the Bank of Ireland Celtic Challenge on Wednesday evening.
