RESULTS
RESERVES (CHAMPIONSHIP)
Well done to our reserve team and management who put in a massive performance on Sunday as they took on Cremartin in the quarter final of the O’ Duffy Cup. Magheracloone came into this championship game unbeaten in the league which gave them an air of confidence that showed on the pitch throughout the game. With no less than 11 players scoring from play, it was always going to be a thrilling game. Magheracloone built up an impressive lead at half time, going in 13 points up. There was no come back for Cremartin and the lads finished out the stronger. Final Score Magheracloone 4:19 V Cremartin 1:06. Team: Jack Kirk, Sean Finnegan, James Lambe, Cian Freeman, David Freeman, Noel Tuite, Connell Rooney (0-1), Niall Marron (0-2), John Mc Mahon (0-1), Killian Mc Nally (0-1), Michael Metzger (1-7), Daniel Babington (1-1), Barry Kieran (1-0), Aidan Mc Garrell ((0-2) and Paudie Kirk (1-2). U8’S
Well done to all our U8’s who travelled to Castleblayney on Saturday in wet conditions to play teams from Castleblayney, Scotstown and Truagh. Our mini Mitchells put in an excellent performance in all three games. Well done everyone.
HISTORY MADE
Congratulations to father and son duo Noel and Dylan Tuite for being the first father and son in the club to play on the same team at the same time, when they both played in the Reserve Championship Quarter Final in Cremartin on Sunday last. Not only dose Noel go down in history for having the most injuries within the club but he will also go down in history for playing with his son on the same team. Age is only a number to our Noel. Well done lads!!
GOOD LUCK
Good luck to our county players as they kick off their championship champagne this weekend, Gavin Doogan and the Monaghan senior team take on Fermanagh in Clones at 7pm, while Mogie Murray and the Monaghan minor team also take on Fermanagh in the opening game at 5pm.
