Seniors
Scotstown 4g 12p,
Cill Eanna 3g 7p
As this senior league is a learning curve for us we are making good steady progress as our scoring has well improved from the first couple of games and we seem to be a lot more comfortable on the ball but I’m afraid that cuteness only comes with experience and we have a little more to learn in that area. Our next game is away to Clontibret on Friday night at 7 oclock.
Get well
Get well wishes to Eddie Markey who got injured recently
Minors
Cill Eanna 3g 15p
Truagh 2g 9p
A terrific second half performance that seen us come from 3 points down at half time to go on and win with a very comfortable scoreline with some great defending, attacking and score taking. Our last outing before the exams is away to St. Pats next Tuesday in Drumhowan at 7.30
Congratulations
Well done to Daniel Leegan on being selected for the Monaghan Minor squad for the upcoming Ulster Championship. Well deserved,
U8 & 10’s
Well done to our U8 & 10’s teams who took in the Blitz hosted by the club over the past 2 weekends.
A special word of thanks to the coaches for their time and effort to ensure the event was such a success.
U12’s
The U12 team travelled to Cloghan on Saturday morning past to take part in the Spring League finals with Clontibret providing the opposition. In the first half Killanny had to face into the elements and more then held their own, trailing at half time on a scoreline of 3 points to 5. In the second half despite battling bravely to the end we could not manage to close the defecit. Ronan Reilly was assured between the posts, while Daniel Kelly, Colin Murphy and Daragh Finnegan caught the eye in defence. At midfield Conaill Marry and Adam Callan covered every blade of grass, while in attack Sean O’Reilly, Oisin Gartlan and Killian Leegan all worked tirelessly throughout. On the final whistle the scoreline read Killanny 6 points Clontibret 11. Hard luck to the lads but we now look foward to the Summer League.
