Senior’s
Championship Season is finally upon us this weekend as we travel to Scotstown on Sunday to take on Rockcorry in the preliminary round. Throw in is at 2pm and we hope to have as many travelling support to help our lads over the line.
Best of luck to all involved.
Safe travels to Senior player Dermott Gleeson who is New York bound after the Championship game.
Junior B’s
Last Wednesday we travelled to Ballybay for the first round of the Championship.
Early on we took the lead with some great football by Francie McMahon and Donal Tierney. As the game wore on a lapse in concentration in the final 10 minutes in the first half allowed the home side to hit 1-2 and went in with a 2 point lead.
As the 2nd half started our lads played the better football and were soon right back in the game with well taken points by Alan Mc Gorman and Tommy Monaghan. As Ballybay only managed to score 2 points in the 2nd half we went in hunt for a last minute goal to grab the win but failed to do so. A great game of football played right to the dying end by the lads whom never let the heads drop.
Final score Eire og 0-12 Ballybay 1-11.
Newly Wed’s
Congratulations to Ciara Mc Cluskey and Stephen Cass on their marriage at the weekend.
