Youth Affairs
The first Currin U12 Summer League game of the year against Killeevan was played last Thursday evening in Scotshouse and it proved to be a thriller. The game ended on a score-line of 4-05 each with Currin having the best of the early part but Killeevan finishing strongly to claim a point. Our next game is away to Rockcorry on Saturday with a throw in of 12 noon. On Saturday 10th June we host Aughnamullen with a throw in time of 12 noon also.
Patrick Emmett’s Under 14’s, sitting on top of Division 3, travelled to Killanny on Saturday last and put in a terrific performance to come away well deserved winners. Our next game is on TUESDAY 30th May at 7:30pm v Tyholland in Scotshouse. five wins from five games in Division 3 shows the hard work at training is paying off. Please note the change of day to aTuesday.
Patrick Emmett’s Under 16’s, next game is away to Castleblayney on Thursday 25th May at 8:15pm.
Currin Under 8’s have a ‘Go Games’ blitz on Saturday next in Cloghan. Details going out by text.
Please keep in mind that there is a double Under 10 and Under 8 ‘Go Games’ blitz scheduled for Thursday evening 10th June at Tyholland from 7pm to 9pm.
Training continues on Saturday mornings for U6’s, U8’s, U10’s and U12’s from 9:30 to 10:30am, unless games are scheduled. All new members very welcome and parents are encouraged to become involved in training and helping at ‘Go Games’ events. If you would like to get involved please speak to Fintan McPhillips
Seniors
Our senior team take on Drumhowan in the junior championship on Friday evening in Smithboro at 7.45 pm. Support is vital in the championship so a big crowd in expected. Well done to our men, Jack and Kevin, and both Monaghan teams in their opening games in the Ulster championship against Fermanagh on a wet and difficult evening on Saturday evening last. Next up are neighbours and rivals Cavan.
Michaela Foundation,
The Michaela Foundation Summer Camp is running from the 17th-21st of July 2017. It’s for all young girls ages, 11-13. Enrolment for the Monaghan summer camp based in Clones is now open. The local representative is our own Rebecca Murphy.

Our Annual re-arranged Cake sale will take place this Sunday 28th May after the parish masses. Please support by either baking or buying.
