Monaghan Electrical IFL: Our Seniors had a brilliant win over neighbours Emyvale last Wednesday night when they scored 1-12 to their 8 points! Unfortunately we lost on Saturday against Inniskeen by a single point in another gripping game! The lads are enjoying great support from the Tyholland followers and we would love to see this continue to grow for our next match which will be away against Aughnamullen on Saturday 29th.
Minors: Our Minors suffered a loss against amalgamated team Patrick Emmets last Tuesday. They travelled to Oram last Tuesday to play Clan na nGael. Results next week!
Gerry’s Prepared Veg:
U16: Our U16s were defeated by Éire Óg last Thursday. They have a home game against Emyvale this evening (Thursday) at 7.15. All support welcome to cheer them on.
U14: Our U14s have a home game this Saturday when they welcome Drumhowan to St.Patricks park. Throw in at 2pm.
U12: Well done to our U12 mixed team who had a super win after a brilliant game in Threemilehouse last Saturday. The final score was 12 points to Sean McDermots 9. Brilliant work by all the team. Keep it up!
Juveniles: Our U10s take part in a blitz this Saturday and training continues as normal for all. Keep an eye on whtsapp for more info!
Ladies
Seniors: Go the girls!!!!!!! Our senior ladies won their debut league game of the season last Saturday against Castleblayney. Our Reserve ladies team are away to Killeevan on Sunday at 3pm. Subject to change.
U16: The U16 girls were out last Monday night for a home game against Corduff. It unfortunately resulted in a narrow loss but the girls played some brilliant football.
MEMBERS MEETING: We have decided to hold a members meeting at our next monthly committee meeting. This is an opportunity for you to see what plans are ahead for our club and what we hope to achieve this year. We value the views and suggestions of all our members and if you have any issue or ideas in how we can improve the running of CLG Tigh Thalainn please come along. The date for this meeting will be Wednesday 8th May.
Sports Medic Training: Firstly many thanks to Ciara McMahon, Grainne Hughes, Martina Treanor, George McColgan, Caroline Treanor, Selina Mullen and Pauline Duffy who have volunteered to do medics for the coming year. We are holding a Sports Medic Training course soon and if you are interested please contact Selina on 086 3444797 for details. This course will be free to all Tyholland members and would be very worthwhile attending.
Feile: The Féile na nGael and Féile Peile na nÓg tournaments are club festivals for Hurling, Football, Camogie and Handball at Under 14 years of age level. Teams from every county in Ireland as well as overseas will be taking part. This is exciting news for Tyholland as we will be hosting both a girls and boys U14 visiting team. The players and mentors from the visiting teams stay with members of the host club. We have many families already signed up for hosting but if you are interested in getting involved please contact Selina on 086 3444797 and Garda vetting procedures can be started for you.
Referees: We would love to see a few new faces take up the role of assisting Xavier Coyle in umpiring over the coming season. If you are interested you can contact him on 086 8545052.
