Monaghan Electrical IFL: Our Senior team kick things off this Saturday 8th with their first league game against Cremartin. This is a home game with a 6.30 throw in so please come out and support the lads!
Platinum Tanks Reserve League: A 1-07 a piece draw was the result of our Doohamlet game last Saturday. Good to see some of the “old” faces back again!!
Gerry’s Prepared Veg:
U16: Our 16s are training for their first game next Thursday 13th at home against Eire Og. Throw in will be at 7pm.
U14: Our U14s played a great challenge match at home last Monday against the Seans! Thanks to Xavier Coyle for referring. Good luck to them on Saturday as they continue the league and welcome Killanny at 2pm.
U12: Well done to our U12 mixed group who had a brilliant game against Toome last Saturday and came away with a win! Keep up the good work guys!!
U10s: Our U10s will be having a challenge match against Truagh at 12.30 on Saturday at home. Training continues as normal.
Juveniles: Many thanks to Eire Óg for hosting a very entertaining challenge match for our U8s last week! U8/U6s continue training as normal.
Ladies
Seniors: Our senior reserve ladies continue their training as normal. Please support!
U16: Our U16 ladies were defeated by the Harps last week. Training as normal.
U14: The U14s defeated Scotstown well last week. Keep it up girls!! Training continues with 12s on Friday.
U12: Our 12 girlies look forward to a home match against Doohamlet on Monday at 6.45.
County: Hard luck to the Monaghan team in their bid for a position in the Allianz League Division One final last weekend. Karl O’Connell did us proud and had a fantastic game in Clones.
Comhgairdeas: Well done to Jamie Smith who was part of the NUI Galway team who won the Junior All Ireland College title last week! Well done also to Mark Mooney who
played in the Ulster MacLarnon Cup final recently and was also on the Our Lady’s Secondary School 7s team who won the DCU competition last week. Its great to see our Tyholland troup keeping the side up at home and away!!!
Referees: A brilliant opportunity is now available for anyone over 16 who would be interested in Refering. There will be a 2 hour induction being held during the Easter holidays, on Friday 10th from 10 – 12 in Cloghan. The Easter camps will be on the following week and will be your chance to get started!! If interested contact Paddy on 087 2231310.
Club Membership: Time to register for club membership will soon be closing. Please contact Club Registrar Michelle on 086 8907240 for details. No players at any level will be allowed to play or train before registration.
Feile: The Féile na nGael and Féile Peile na nÓg tournaments are club festivals for Hurling, Football, Camogie and Handball at Under 14 years of age level. Teams from every county in Ireland as well as overseas will be taking part. This is exciting news for Tyholland as we will be hosting both a girls and boys U14 visiting team. The players and mentors from the visiting teams stay with members of the host club. We have many families already signed up for hosting but if you are interested in getting involved please contact Selina on 086 3444797 and Garda vetting procedures can be started for you.
Referees: We would love to see a few new faces take up the role of assisting Xavier Coyle in umpiring over the coming season. If you are interested you can contact him on 086 8545052.
Tidy Towns: Tyholland Tidy Towns will be holding a cake sale in the centre on Good Friday from 3.30 – 5.00. Please come out and support it and savour some tasty treats in the process!!
