C.L.G. SEAN MAC DIARMADA
Results:
It was a week of disappointment across all age groups and competitions. Starting on Thursday last our U16’s travelled to Killanny and suffered a heavy defeat to an exceptional strong team. On Saturday afternoon the U12’s made the short journey to Aghabog for their game in the Spring League. While effort and enthusiasm were not in short supply they too succumbed to stronger opposition. Finally on Saturday evening the Reserves made the journey again to Killanny for their League encounter. It was a close affair however the home side had the upper hand and served up the Reserves first defeat of the campaign. To use a cliché , a week can be a long time in football, and regrouping of all teams will hopefully steady the ship and get the winning streak back on track.
Junior Football League.
The senior players and management have an opening home tie with Eire Og on Friday evening at 7pm. Summer has certainly arrived with the evening kick offs and hopefully with it will come the success for promotion which has eluded this team in recent seasons despite their fierce and unquestionable commitment.
U14 League
Saturday at 2pm will see the U14 squad travel to Rockcorry for their next league game. With one win under their belt, hopefully they can keep the momentum going.
