Latton GAA Club Club Notes – Week Beginning 10th April 2017

Lotto Results.

The numbers drawn this week were 3-9-18-6 Bonus 8. There was no jackpot winner. Our €20 winners Mary & Martin,Latton,Miriam Conlan,Latton,Clint Duffy,5 Lochmore Ave,Ballybay,Rosleen Fox,Drumgoon,Ali Sullivan,Rocky Street.

Next Weeks Jackpot €18,200.

Centenary Museum

We are currently working on our Museum at the minute –This will be permanent fixture showing Club over last 100 years. In this regard if anyone has any old Photos they would like included they can they make contact with Kathleen Lynch who will organise Scanning & Return of same.

U12’s

Our U12’s are away on Saturday 15th v Oram at 2.00pm.

U14’S

Our U14’s had a good win at home last Saturday v Clontibret on scoreline Latton 3-13 – Clontibret 3-12.

U16’s

Latton had a comprehensive win Last Thursday v Magheracloone . Next up this evening is an away fixture v Carrick ay 7.00pm .

Minor

Latton Played on Tuesday 4th April at home v Monaghan Harps, A close competitive game seen Latton emerge victors on scoreline Latton 3-08 – Monaghan Harps 1-10. .They had a further fixture last Tuesday 11th April away to Emyvale –See Press for results.

Latton O’Rahilly Players Golf Calssic

Latton o’rahillys players centenary golf classic sponsored by Regan and Co accountants takes place in clones golf club on the 22nd April. Teams of 4 are €160 with €1,500 in prizes. Tee box sponsorship is also available. Please contact Owen Hamilton for tee off times, 0876563434

Senior League

Latton commenced their League Campaign last Saturday evening with an away fixture against Ballybay Pearse Brothers .Ballybay got off to the better start going 3points up after 7 minutes.Latton started to settle and by the 15th minute had levelled the game 0-03 to 0-03.Both teams then traded points and in the 19th Minute latton edged ahead 0-05 to 0-04.Two points from Ballybay seen them go ahead in the 24th Minutes.Latton first hit the net in the 25th minute however this was quickly followed by a Ballybay Goal in 27th Minute. The match was levelled by Ballybay in the 28th Minute 1-06 each and remained at this scoreline for the remainder of the 1st half. The 2nd half commenced as the 1st had finished with both teams trading points Latton edged ahead in the 38th Minute on a scoreline 1-10 to 1-07.A Ballybay Goal in the 39th Minute levelled the match again.Latton

were reduced to 14 Men in the 44th MinuteLatton’s 2nd Goal arrived in the 47th minute and further points seen latton lead 2-13 to 2-09 in the 52nd minute. Ballybay scored two further points of the game Leaving two between them in the 57th minute. Boths teams traded further point s but Latton run our winners on a final Scoreline of Latton 2-15 to 2-13.Latton Scorers were Hugh Mc Elroy 1-06(1Pen,5Frees),Darren Mc Elroy 1-01,Shane Coyle 0-02,Thomas Connolly 0-02,Christopher Rice 0-01,Aidan Farmer 0-01,Stephen Mc Cabe 0-01,Owen Duffy 0-01.

Next up are home Game v Donaghmoyne on Wednesday 12th April at 7.00pm and an away game on Saturday 15th at 7.00 v Killanny.
