The Lotto is the main source of funding for the club and we are seeking new lotto sellers, if you are interested in getting involved please contact any Committee member for details. Pitch Closed:

Following the recent spell of poor weather the main pitch is closed until further notice.

Fixtures:

The start of the Co. Monaghan Credit Unions Senior League is fast approaching and our senior team will be starting with a home tie when they face Magheracloone this Saturday April 8th at 6-30. This will be followed by an away trip to Latton on Wednesday the 12th at 7.00 please come along and support the lads.

The Minors have a home tie against Aughnamullen on Tuesday April 11th in Corduff at 7.00. The Under 14 squad travel to Monaghan Harps on Saturday 8th with both the division 1 and division 5 teams in action games start at 2.00 and 3.15. All support welcome.

Results:

The Reserves gave a strong showing on Saturday last beating Monaghan Harps on a score line of 7 points to 4-12. In Division 5 of the U 14 league Donaghmoyne had a convincing win over Scotstown. It was mixed fortunes for our U12 teams in the spring league with both our teams facing neighbors Carrickmacross. The A team lost out to a strong Carrick side while our B team were convincing winners in their tie.

Mini Fontenoys:

Training continues this Saturday for our future stars in Donaghmoyne this Saturday 11:00 to 12:00. Parents of Under 6 children are reminded that they are needed to stay for the hour and give a hand; help is always needed at any age group so please stay and get involved. Cost 2€ per family, bring a drink and a gum shield.

Referees:

Monaghan GAA are currently looking for volunteers to referee at go games blitzes. Referees get paid for each blitz and this is a perfect way to start off your refereeing career. See Monaghan GAA website for details.

Recently Deceased:

The club would like to extend its sympathies to the Daly family and friends on the death of Hugh Daly Clonmel formerly of Castleblayney.

Ladies:

Fixtures – Our Division 1 Senior team are due to play Corduff at home on Sunday at 3pm. This game may be subject to change due to the Monaghan Ladies playing Armagh. Minors – Next Wednesday our minors take on Truagh away from home in the Division 1 league at 7pm. U14’s – Next Monday sees our U14 team taking on Emyvale in Emyvale at 6.45pm in the Division 1 league. Dinner Dance – Our annual Dinner Dance takes place on Saturday the 15th of April in The Glencarn Hotel. This is a night not to be missed as we celebrate the success of Donaghmoyne Ladies over the last 25 years. The night will also see our Senior team being presented with their All Ireland Senior Club medals. Dinner will be served at 8 pm followed by dancing to Done N Dusted. Tickets €25. Table Quiz- Thanks to all who supported our table quiz in Mannan Castle last Friday night. Congratulations to the winning team and many thanks to all those who sponsored prizes and helped out on the night. 5k Walk/Run – Keep free Friday the 21st of April for our 5k fun run. Registration starts at 6.15 at the field with the walk/run starting at 7pm.
