TOP 4 LOTTO

Another €100 has been added to The TOP 4 LOTTO Jackpot and it now stands at €11,400 after there was no winner of the draw on Monday night past. The weekly lucky dip winners were Pamela Finlay Rockcorry, Seamus Kelly Smithboro, Lauren Woods Rockcorry, Mavis Harrison Rockcorry, Mary Macklin C/O St Davnets, Noel Carroll Rockcorry, Maggie Reilly Aghabog, Tina Rooney Rockcorry. Next weeks draw takes place in Fitzpatricks Rockcorry. Thank you for you continued support of our LOTTO and remember to get your numbers in.

National Football League

It was a first defeat for Monaghan in Division 1 of the league on Saturday evening with a 4 point loss to Tyrone in Healy Park. While it was disappointing not to have taken points away from Omagh, the majority of the Farney support were still upbeat, especially when they seen their team put in battling performance when reduced down to 13 players in the second half. It was great from a club perspective to see our very own Niall Mc Keown named as part of the match day panel. It was better news for the Monaghan hurlers as they made it 4 wins from 4 with a 3 point victory over Louth in Inniskeen on Sunday. Trevor Hillards side are really setting the standard in Division 3A and are away to Donegal this Sunday in Letterkenny.

Action returning to the Field

The stretch is on the evenings and the club action is ready to hit the fields once more. It has been a busy couple of weeks for all teams as they prepare for the season ahead. The Club car park and St Marys hall have been a hive of activity for the past few weeks with teams been put through their paces by the coaches. The U10’s wrapped up their indoor league on Saturday past in the Ballybay recreational centre, while the U8’s will get their first run out this Saturday at the Phoenix Centre in Carrickmacross between 2pm and 4pm. The U14’s have their first outing in Division 4 when they travel to Corduff on Saturday at 2pm while the senior reserve team welcome Aghabog to St Marys park on Sunday at 2pm. Best of luck to all players and management teams.
