Carrick made the short trip to Pairc Eanna on Tuesday evening last only to be met by a stubborn Cill Eanna side that were not going to be turned over easily and had leaders all over the pitch who cut through the Carrick defence and put over some fantastic scores.

Under 14
The Under 14 Killanny team got their season under way last Saturday when they welcomed Drumhowan to Pairc Eanna. At no time during the game was there much between the two teams in this highly competitive, high scoring game. Mike McEntee in goals was very impressive carrying out a number of fine saves. John Gartlan, Cian Burns and Michael Grimes were solid in defence. Cillían McConnon, Cillian McGahon and Jake McCarty worked well in the middle of the field. Thomas Gartlan and Matthew Mahers had their shooting boots on up front with both finding the back of the net. Christopher Tobin played well when he came on in the second half. The hero of the day was Darragh O’Shea who in the final moments of the game stood up to take a free. Killanny were 3 points down, Drumhowan packed as many players as they could into the nets but they were still not able to stop Darragh’s shot as he blasted it into the net and as a result earned Killanny a draw. The game finished on a scoreline of 8-14 to 8-14. A very entertaining game. We are looking forward to the rest of the season if this game is anything to go by!
Cumann Na mBunscoil
Na buachaili from Scoil Eanna failed to qualify for the finals of their school blitz. They beat Inniskeen and Donaghmoyne but lost out to Blackstaff who went on to qualify for the final.
