The club greatly appreciate the time and effort of all involved with the under age players. The importance of coaching and discipline instilled at juvenile level greatly reflect on our future adult sides, these facts were also highlighted by County star Kieran Hughes during his impressive under age presentation deliverance. The U12 team made the short journey to Magheracloone on Saturday afternoon last. The Killanny boys were slow to settle which allowed Magheracloone claim a lead which they never surrendered.
In the second half Killanny came more into the game but by this stage Magheracloone were not to be denied. Between the sticks Ronan O’Reilly was accurate with his kick outs despite difficult conditions There were good performances in defence from Tomas Quinn, Daragh Finnegan and Colin Murphy. At midfield Conaill Marry and Daniel Kelly worked hard through out. In attack Daniel Breen, Adam Callan and Sean Duffy all tried hard. Conor Burns and Cian Donoghue were Killanny’s chief scorers, while Sean McMahon and Oisin Gartlan worked hard when introduced. The next match is on Saturday the 1st of April at home to Cremartin where we will be looking for a better performance.
