The Lotto is the main source of funding for the club and we are seeking new lotto sellers, if you are interested in getting involved please contact any Committee member for details. Fixtures:
The start of the Co. Monaghan Credit Unions Senior League is fast approaching and our senior team will be starting with a home tie when they face Magheracloone on Saturday April 8th.
Our Under 12 teams are at home this Saturday, Both teams will be facing Carrickmacross start times 2.00 and 3:15. Our Under 14 B team start off their campaign with a home tie this Saturday at 12:30 when they face Scotstown. The under 16 season starts Thursday 30th with a Trip to Toome at 6:30.
The Minor season is also underway with St Patrick’s providing the opposition in the first home game for Donaghduff Gaels on Tuesday April 4th.
Results:
The Reserves bounced back from their opening day set back to record a seven point win against Truagh on Saturday. The Under 14s made it two from two in division 1 with a strong showing against Maghercloone.
Mini Fontenoys:
Training commences this Saturday for U6/U8/U10s as our future stars return to Donaghmoyne this Saturday 11:00 to 12:00. Parents of Under 6 children are reminded that they are needed to stay for the hour and give a hand; help is always needed at any age group so please stay and get involved. Cost 2€ per family, bring a drink and a gum shield.
Recently Deceased:
The club would like to extend its sympathies to the Cunningham family and friends on the death of Delia Cunningham Drumnagrella Inniskeen,
Annual Dinner Dance:
The annual dinner dance and presentation night takes place this Saturday April 1st in the Nuremore Hotel. Music will be provided by “The Long Riders”. There will be presentations on the night to the Intermediate Championship winning team as well as our Reserve, Under 21 and Minor Teams.
Breakfast Morning:
The Breakfast morning in Lisdoonan was a great success we would like to thank Lisdoonan centre, Mary, Anna Mae and Teresa, our main sponsors Musgrave group and all the parents and players who worked so hard cooking serving and washing up.
Stewards Training Course:
A stewards training course is being held in Cloghan on Friday March 31st and Saturday April 1st. Contact Padraig Sherry 086 2548251 for details.
Ladies:
Table Quiz – Mannan Castle is the place to be this Friday night as we hold our fundraising table quiz. Table of 4 €20 with the quiz starting at 9pm. Join us for a night of entertainment and fun. Dinner Dance – Keep free Saturday the 15th of April for our annual dinner dance. Dinner is served at 7.30 followed by dancing to Done N Dusted. This is a night not to be missed as we celebrate the success of 2016. Fun Run – Our U14 team are holding a fun run on Friday the 21st of April in Donaghmoyne. The run starts at 7pm with registration from 6.15pm. Join us for a 5k run /walk and support the stars of the future.
