Club Lotto:
Our Club Lotto draw was held on Sunday night last in Traynor’s Bar, Shercock. The numbers drawn were 02, 03, 21 & 26. There was no winner of our jackpot of €8,600. The five €20 Lucky Dip winners were: Dino McNally, Aoife Feeney, Glenda McNally, Brian McCaul & Frank McNally.
Next week’s draw will be held in Boylan’s, Carrickmacross, where the Jackpot will be €8,700.

Membership:
This is the club’s final call for membership, as the closing date is fast approaching on the 31st March 2017 Memberships taken after this date will not be deemed eligible for the 2017 year.
The club re-launched the Lotto at the beginning of February, and to date, there has been no winner of the Jackpot, which rolls over each week and is now at €8,700 for next weekend’s draw.
The club have some great membership packages of offer to members which guarantee entry into each Club Lotto draw over the coming 12 months, as well as entry into Club draws for All-Ireland tickets & entry into each and every Corduff home league game for 2017 (excluding semi-finals).

Reserve Team:
The Reserve League continues with Round 2 this Friday evening with a game against Killeevan at 8:00pm under the lights in Corduff. Round 3 of the League will take place on Saturday 1st April with an away game to Truagh with throw-in at 6:00pm.
Minor Team:
The Minor Team will amalgamate with Donaghmoyne for the 2017 season and will play under the banner of “Donaghduff Gaels”. The team will play in Division 1, with their first game of the 2017 season on Tuesday evening away to Inniskeen, with throw-in at 6:30pm.
Inter-County Teams:
Monaghan’s Senior team continued their quest for National League glory with a 2-17 to 1-12 win over Roscommon in Inniskeen on Sunday last. Monaghan are in a group of four teams at the top of the table, joining Dublin, Donegal & Tyrone on 7 points. Monaghan travel to Ballyshannon in Donegal to take on the Tir Chonaill men, this Sunday (26th), with throw-in at 3:00pm. Remember to “Buy Early & Save” by purchasing tickets for the game in Centra & SuperValu stores nationwide.
The inter-county hurlers play their final league match this Sunday against Tyrone in St. Tiernach’s Park, Clones, knowing that a draw will be enough to secure their place in the Allianz National Hurling League Division 3A Final. Throw-in is also at 3:00pm.
The Under 21’s exited the Ulster Championship last Wednesday night following a 3-10 to 1-11 defeat to Derry in Inniskeen. Fergal Hanratty was introduced at half-time and scored 2 points and earned his team a penalty in a very polished performance.
The Minor Team & Under 17 sides travelled to The DUB Arena in Queen’s University, Belfast to face Down in the opening rounds of their respective Ulster Leagues. Whilst the Minor side came away with a 1-20 to 3-12 win, the Under 17’s were soundly beaten. Both teams face Armagh this Saturday in Clones with the games starting at 12pm and 1:30pm respectively.

Ladies
Juvenile Training and Registration:
Training commences for Under 6’s, 8’s, 10’s & 12’s this Saturday morning (25th March) at 10:00am.
Following on from the success of last year’s Gaelic4Girls we look forward to welcoming our juveniles once again. For those who haven’t registered yet there will be an opportunity to do so from this Saturday morning from 9:45am on the pitch. Rates are as follows: Under 6’s, 8’s & 10’s are €20 with Under 12’s at €35.
The training fee is €20 per player or €30 per family. We look forward to seeing and early on Saturday morning. New members welcome!
Fixtures:
The competitive season at all levels is about to begin and here are some dates for your diary.
The Minors are in action this Sunday at home to Doohamlet. It’s the turn of the Under 14’s on Tuesday 28th March when they are away to Aghabog. The Under 16’s have a bye and their next match is away to Tyholland on the 17th April.
The seniors’ first League match of the season is on the 9th April with the preliminary round of the Junior Championship away to Sean McDermotts on Friday 12th May. There’s plenty of action to look forward to and we wish all the teams and their management good luck for the season.

Juveniles
Under 6, 8, 10:
Training as usual in the pitches in Corduff on Saturday mornings from 10.00am to 11.15am.
Under 12:
Corduff U12s began their Spring League campaign with a defeat at home to Oram on Saturday. They are away to Latton on April 1st and finish out the group stage away to Aughnamullen on April 15th.
Under 14:
Corduff U14s made a good start to this year’s league with a 5-11 to 2-11 win at home to Rockcorry. Round 2 sees them travel to Killeevan on Saturday March 25th.
Féile na nÓg:
Corduff Ladies and Juveniles are delighted to announce we will be hosting the boys and girls teams from the Boston North East GAA Club for Féile 2017. Féile weekend is on June 23rd to 25th and it promises to be a very exciting occasion for the club and community.
Handball
GAA League:
The GAA League Final took place yesterday evening (Wednesday) in Bawn against Carrick “A”. Playing in the final were George McKitterick, Shane McNally, Brendan McNally & Gareth King. Other members of the panel over the year were: Peter Brennan, Aidan Marron, Micheal Hanratty & Ben Woods.
The team progressed to the Final of the competition having received a walkover in the Semi-Final last Wednesday night from Monaghan.

Corduff Singles League:
The final of our Singles League will be played over the weekend of Friday 31st March & Saturday 1st April. The Steelers will face The Eagles, with both teams having secured their final places after semi-final victories over The Vikings and The Ravens respectively.
There will be a presentation night on Saturday 1st April in The Mountain Dew to the winning team following the final.

Congratulations:
The club would like to congratulate both Gavin Coyle and Mickey Clerkin from the Bawn club who won All-Ireland titles in their respective grades last weekend in Kingscourt. A fantastic achievement for both men.
Killian McElroy Memorial Tournament:
Bawn Handball Club are hosting a tournament this weekend (Friday 24th-Sunday 26th March) and are inviting players from surrounding clubs to play. The tournament begins on Friday evening and the finals will be played on Sunday afternoon. Each player who enters will play at least 2 games. The games are timed at 15 minutes.
