Ballybay Pearse Brothers Club Notes
Reserve League Game
Doohamlet 1-09 Ballybay 1-10
Blustery conditions led to a tight, tense match where accurate freetaking and some controlled play at the end ensured the win for Ballybay in their opening reserve league game against Doohamlet.
The first two scores from Ballybay came from Aaron Toner freekicks before Barney Mc Cabe converted a scrappy goal chance a few minutes later to put a better look on the scoreline for the Pearse Brothers. This was followed a few minutes later by a sweetly taken left footed point from Shane Monaghan. Both sides started trading scores before the half time break leaving a tight game level at 1-04 each.Tenacious defending throughout from Cian Hand and Brent Wylie were vital components in grinding out the victory in the 2nd half. Next fixture is home vs Tyholland on 25 March at 5pm
