BRENDAN HAMILL PRESENTATION:
A most enjoyable night was had recently in Aughnamullen. Community centre when a function was held in honour of Brendan Hamill to celebratehis contribution to the Monaghan all Ireland winning team of 1956. A plaque was unveiled on the night by JP Graham commemorating the occasion. The attendance included his former team mates Tommy McArdle, Joey Byrne, Peter McGinn and Seamus Mulligan. The attendance also included Ard. Stiurthoir CLG Pauric Duffy and Vice Chairman of the county board Declan Flanagan. The organising committee appreciate all the help they received in planning the event and would like to thank all who worked so hard on the night including the Deery Family who provided the music and who helped in no small way in making the night such an outstanding success.
