Carrickmacross Hurling Club Notes

The AGM took place on Friday 9th December in Emmet Center. Chairperson Sean Guinan open the meeting in front of a decent crowd by welcoming every one, pass chairperson, players, coaches, managers, parents and friends of the club. Our secretary Dympna McCahey and Treasurer Brian Whelan give their report and all agree the club was in good hands and their jobs were safe. Next was Chairperson report, Sean thank all the committee for all their work during the year. Sean also thanked Derek Tumulty, Henry Hughes and all sponsors for their continued and much appreciated support during the year.  All team managers, coaches, referees, parents and supporters were also thanked. All team managers give their reports and it was agreed that it was not a bad year for the club with cups from U14 Championship, Minors Championship, 2 cups from Dublin Tournament, and the following getting to U12 Semi final, U14 league final, U16 Championship final, U16 Ulster semi final, Minors Ulster semi final, Senior league Semi final, all managers thanked all players, coaches and parents for their help during the year. All club officers give their run down on their positions and all agreed all was going well. Next was the elections of officers and everyone was happy to stay on so all was vote in, well done to all. The club then wish Chris and Eddie Higgins who was pick for tour and history of Croke park in line with Monaghan Health and Well-being on Tuesday 13th December all the best and enjoy. After the Christmas draw and all wrap up then there was a minute silent for all that pass away during the year..Everyone was thanked again for coming and hopefully 2017 will be a great year for the club.
