Last Thursday night the 1st of December the 2017 Monaghan GAA Convention took place in the Hillgrove Hotel. Quite a few of the executive changed. There were votes for 2 positions – secretary and ulster council delegates. In the secretary position vote Francis Ward, Latton defeated outgoing secretary Anita Finnegan. In the ulster council delegates vote the present post holders Seán Mc Kenna and Brendan Casey overcame the other candidate John Connolly from Currin.
All other officers were elected unopposed. Michael Mc Mahon, Scotstown became the new Chairperson and Declan Flanagan after serving 5 years as Central Council Delegate moved into the vice chair position. Outgoing Chair Padraig Sherry became Central Council Delegate. Eileen Keenan, Corduff took over the Treasurer position after long serving Marion Donnelly stepped down. Majella Boyd from Cremartin became new Assistant Secretary while all other officers remained in their position. Please see below Coistí Bainistí for 2017
