Club wins in National Contest
Recently a club member, living and working in Dublin, entered a competition to describe the importance of their local GAA Club, organised by the ESB. Patricia O’Malley, nee McElvaney, penned a literacy masterpiece which immediately captured the judges attention. The subject was based on a brief history of her club, the continuous striving of the community to improve the facilities and the ultimate sense of comradery. Clearly, her writing prowess wooed the adjudicators and with that a cash prize of €1500 for the Clubs Development Fund. A big thank you to Patricia for her efforts and gratitude to the ESB for supporting the competition
