Blackhill through to Ulster Final

FT Score Blackhill 0-13 Downings 0-6

Blackhill with an impressive first half display in Owenbeg are through to their first ever JFC  Ulster Final where they will take on Rock from Tyrone in a fortnights time.

Blackhill opened the scoring within seconds with a Tommy Geehan point  but Downings equalised almost immediately with  a Colin Gallagher point. Blackhill replied with points from Colin Woods, Michael Geehan and Philip Donnelly. Blackhill suffered a temporary set back when Thomas Courtney received a black card and then Downings  got two back from Lorcan Connors to leave only a point in it after 12 minutes but it was all Blackhill for the remainder of the second half who scored  5 unanswered points to leave the half time score Blackhill 0-9 Downings 0-3

The second half proved to be a scrappy enough affair with Blackhill scoring 4 points  2 of these in injury time. Downings open the scoring with a Lorcan Connors free but Anthony Courtney replied in the 4th minute. Colin Woods scored his second point in the 11th minute but then we went 16 minutes without a score  before Gary Clafferty got one back for the Donegal side. However it proved not to be enough as Blackhill finished the game with 2 pointed frees from Dermot Daly to leave the full time score Blackhill 0-13 Downings 0-6
