Breakfast Morning: We are hosting a Breakfast Morning this Sunday, the 20th, from 9am until 1pm in the club. The players will be preparing a feast to satisfy even the most concerning palate. Everyone welcome, from near to far.
Ulster Club Championship: Blackhill reached their first Ulster Final in their 100th year after they defeated Donegal champions Downings in Dungiven last Sunday afternoon. Blackhill were quick out of the traps with scores from Tommy Geehan, Colin Woods, Micheal Geehan and Philip Donnelly allowing Blackhill to get their noses on front. But it was the 2nd quarter that Blackhill really made hay, kicking 5 unanswered points to leave the score 9 points to 3 at half time. Blackhill emerged from the dressing rooms intent on defending their lead to book a place in the final and some wonderful defending, led by keeper Micheal Shevlin, allowed them to do just that on a full time score line of 13 points to 6. The final is due to take place on the weekend of November 27th with no details confirmed yet. It was wonderful to see all the support that travelled on Sunday to cheers the boys on, fair play to you all.
