Clontibret

Credit Unions SFL

Clontibret 0-10 Scotstown 0-14 The last round of the Senior Football league was a rather tame affair with Scotstown finishing stronger and neither team qualifying for the semi finals. This was the last game of the season and much credit is due to the management and players for their effort during the year.

AGM

The club annual general meeting for 2017 has been provisionally fixed for Friday 18th November at 8.30pm

Energy Upgrade

A major upgrade of the heating system has taken place at the clubrooms with the installation of a new energy efficient boiler system with solar panels. This has been completed in recent weeks in conjunction with and assistance from the SEAI and should provide an efficient system for years to come

Donegal Champion

Well done to former player Eamon Ward who picked up a Donegal championship medal recently, his third since moving to Glenswilly six years ago. Best wishes to them in the Ulster Club championship on Sunday when they have Kilcoo, as visitors a team we beat in Newry two years ago.

U8/U10

Last Sunday saw us head off to Dublin with this group. A big thank you to Garristown GFC for hosting us in a challenge game on Sunday morning and the great hospitality after.

It was then we headed for Croke Park were we had a fantastic afternoon. The group got the full tour of our famous headquarters and learned all about the history attached to the stadium and the organisation.

You can’t help but be proud of being a small but very important part of the GAA which these boys are, as they are the future. Hopefully one day we’ll watch some of these lads out there on that famous pitch like their club mates before them.
