Under 10 Boys: The boys travelled on Saturday morning the short distance to Drumhowan, on a morning more suitable to Ducks rather than football the boys competed well in their group which included Butlersbridge, Doohamlet and Cremartin. They advanced from the group into the Shield and a win over Latton saw them advance to play host Drumhowan in the final. They left their best football to last as they emerged victorious and claimed the shield which was presented to the team by Tommy McArdle. Well done to the team and coaches on a good day for all involved, thank you also to Drumhowan for the invitee and the way that they ran the event.

Well Done: This week’s well done goes out to Shauna Coogan who graduated today from the Dermot Early Youth Leadership Programme at N.U.I. Galway last weekend. The programme honouring Dermot Earley Senior legacy targets young GAA members between 15-18 years of age and operates as an innovative partnership between the GAA, Foróige, Ireland’s leading youth organisation, and NUI Galway. The Initiative gives young people the opportunity to take part in Foróige’s Leadership programme which has been customised for this partnership with the GAA and NUI Galway.
