McElvaney Waste Intermediate Championship: Good luck to our Seniors who take on Inniskeen in the Championship on Sunday. This will be held in Blackhill at 6pm and we are hoping for lots of support to cheer them on!
Monaghan Electrical IFL: Our Seniors defeated Donaghmoyne last Wednesday (24th) by 2 points. We then took on Killanny last Sunday morning and came away with another 2 points scoring 2-15 to Killannys 3-09. These results have left us second on the league table with a game in hand. Keep up the good work lads!!!
Gerrys Prepared Veg U16 Cup Final: Our U16s have done it! A week after defeating St. Tiarnach Sarsfields in the Championship they have brought home the Cup from the league final! Clan na Gael didn’t really stand a chance against our lads with their fast paced action and great team work they scored a whopping 4-29 to their 5-04. Well done to management Mark Treanor and Joe Cawley and the winning team Darragh Treanor, Aaron Treanor, Jack Treanor, Ethan Mullen, Jordan Clerkin, Sean Treanor, Mark Mooney, Oisin Clerkin, Kyle McDonald, Sean McKenna, Willo McQuaid, Owen Keenan, Dylan Smith, Kasper Kapela, Caolan McDonald, Joshua Clerkin, Justin Cawley, Kyle Treacy, Paul Corrigan, Ryan McNally and Killian McNally.
Gerrys Prepared Veg U14: Well done to Tyholland U14s who defeated Rockcorry in the cup semi-final last Saturday. They clocked up 3-10 to Rockcorrys 0-9 to land them a place in the final which is to be held on Saturday 10th against Ballybay. Details on venue and time to follow. Best of luck to Glen, Dermie, Gareth and team!
U12: Yet another final, this time for our U12 lads and lassies. They play for the Division 2 shield this Saturday when they take on Donaghmoyne in Blackhill. This game has a 12.20 throw in. Best of luck to Gareth, Adrian and the team! It would be great to see plenty of red and white to cheer them on!
Juveniles: Keep and eye on the whatsapp for training arrangements for the U8/U10 groups.
Our teenie U6s have been invited to a blitz on Saturday in Killeevan. Good luck Kids!
Get well soon: Get well soon to Erin McGarry who was injured at an U10 challenge game last week.
Ladies: Senior ladies continue training Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30. Their next game against the Seans has been postponed as the County team play this weekend.
Minor ladies are playing in the Championship this Sunday evening against St. Brigets. Throw in at 5pm in Ballybay! Good luck to our U16 Girls travel to Carrickmacross this evening at 7pm in a playoff.
Our U12 ladies had a tough game against the Sean’s on Monday night past and despite their best efforts lost out by 2 points! Hard luck cailiní.
Ladies All-Ireland: Tyholland GFC wish the best of luck to Grainne McKenna, Niamh Treanor and the Monaghan Ladies team as they take on Cork this weekend in the All-Ireland Ladies semi-final!!!
Race Night: We will be holding a Race night in the club on Saturday 24th September. Race night sheets are available from any committee member or Senior player! Be sure to buy a horse for the night for only €10! Races can also be sponsored for €100. Further details on facebook over the coming weeks!
