Congratulations to our U12 Development team who won the Donagh Cup on Saturday past at a very wet Blackhill
The team made light of the poor conditions and settled quickly with early scores from Adam Callan and Padraig Corrigan.
At midfield Conaill Marry and Colin Murphy ensured Killanny were on top in this sector throughout and this laid the foundation for a Killanny win. In defence there were big performances from Tomas Quinn, Daniel Breen and Daniel Kelly between them ensured the Currin attack never got going. Ronan O’Reilly was secure between the posts and never put a foot wrong.
The Killanny attack of Sean O’Reilly, Cian Donoghue and Daragh Finnegan between them covered every blade of grass.
Odhran McGinnity, Darren Murphy, Sean McMahon and Mickey McEntee all can be proud of their effort when introduced.
When the final whistle sounded there were great scenes of celebration among the Killanny squad and supporters. The Donagh Cup was presented to joint captains Niall Quinn and Mark Carolan. Thanks to their managers Shane Dooley ,Noel McGahon, Martin Burns for all their help during the year
