Senior’s
Last Saturday we travelled to Oram and after recent performances it was a game we needed to get a good start to get momentum up and running but it couldn’t have went any worse as we gave away a penalty early on and it wasn’t before long when we found ourselves 5 points down. Despite this our lads dug deep and so got a few scores on the board to kick start a comeback. Goal keeper James Marrow proved vital as he kicked 2 brilliant 45’s to keep it a draw game. The 2 McMahon Brothers kept frustrating the home side as much as possible with some brilliant defending and more importantly their run’s forward created some brilliant scores and Darren had his name on the score sheet with a unique point from 50 yards!
As the game drifted into the 2nd half it was the home side to get rewarded a 2nd penalty of the game but it was not to be as James Marrow made a fantastic save from the spot kick. As the game reached the final few moments we held a narrow 1 point lead but the home side managed a late point in the dying seconds to leave all level at the final whistle.
This result leaves us with another showdown against the Sean’s on Sunday the 2nd of October and with a semi-final spot up for grabs its sure to be another highly anticipated game in a winner take’s all.
