Fixtures: On Saturday evening the senior team face Traugh in the next round of the Monaghan Credit Union Senior Football League. Throw in Ballybay Pearse Park at 6pm. On Saturday the 10th of September the Ballybay U14 go in search of a championship & league double when they face Tyholland. Please come out and support our younger generation as they aim to create a piece of history in the club. Venue and time have yet to be confirmed but additional info will follow.
Sympathy: The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family, friends & particularly to our kit man Christy McQuillan on the death of Jimmy McQuillan at the beginning of last week. May he rest in peace.
Best wishes to the entire Monaghan Ladies Senior Football squad, back room team & management but in particular to Grainne, Ellen, Michaela & Clodagh (the ladies behind our great men) this Saturday evening when they face Cork in the All Ireland semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds Limerick. Throw up at 5pm.
Good luck to all our junior members starting out on their education path in the coming weeks & indeed to our larger members who are entering into second & third level education. We wish them all every success.
Bingo: Just a quick note to remind everyone that the club’s weekly Bingo takes place every Tuesday night at 9pm in the clubhouse. The bingo is a great opportunity for the community to come together midweek and have a good night while maybe even winning a few bob. This is a fundamental part of the club’s fund raising for day-to-day costs and we would all really appreciate if you, your friends or your family could support this if you can at all. And, don’t forget, there is transport available to the centre. Every week, our volunteers go to great efforts to keep this going so that all of the other voluntary members of the club have a good starting platform. Hope to see some new faces tomorrow night and over the coming weeks.
The next committee meeting takes place on Tuesday the 6th of September, at 9pm. Please make a special effort to attend.
If you would like to get items into the club notes please contact Niall Duffy by 8pm on Monday evening and he’ll gladly include.
