U16’s: Big Congratulations to Our U16’s team and management who took on Magheracloone in the Championship Final on Saturday last in Carrickmacross.
with Magheracloone getting 1st time possesion on the throw up our boys quickly won the ball back, followed up the field by Kieran Duffy Augnhnamullen won the 1st free with Our team Captain Tiernan Duffy giving us the 1st score on the board in the 1st min, but Magheracloone quckly got themselves on the score board with a point. the points where coming good Jack Mc Brien takes 2 frees with his great left boot give us 4 points but as Magheracloone get them selves a goal and take the lead. Darren Geoghegan & Tiernan keep the points coming but despite a goal from Jason Duffy Magheracloone take the lead at half time on a 3 point lead. A great start to the second half. There was a tough encounter between the 2 sides. The young Aughnamullen boys came in fighting with great determation to win back the fight with Joel Wilson catching the kick outs give us the boost we needed. Our backs showed their true colours with great defense Kieran Marron & Kieran Duffy showed skill in keeping a firm hand on the ball. Well helped by backs Oisin Hamill, Adam Blanch, Sean Hamill & Jay Marron. Shane Forde’s goal passed by Kieran Marron give us a nice lead. But Magheracloone quickly came back with 2 goals brought the game back level. Our boys where not to be denied with Thristan Keenan and Cillian Mc Connell showed strenght wining the ball which give us what was needed and we ran out winners on a score line of Aughnamullen (4-17) To Magheracloone (6-9). U16 LEAGUE FINAL:
Our U16 boys will aim to get the double on this Saturday in Oram against Castleblayney at 1pm. Best of luck to the team & their managers Joe, Brian & Gene. Please support this great team of young lads. As this is another Big day for our club.
U14’s: A date has finally been set for our League final, Doohamlet is the venue at 2pm on Saturday the 24th of September, against a strong Drumhowan team. These young boys have another chance in getting the Cup. Please support.
U12’s Our U12 boys are now finished for the year. A big thank you to all the team for their hard work throughout the year. Also to the management PJ Forde, Arthar Hamill & David Lynch for giving up their spare time to help this young team. To Philomena Duffy who attended every game for 1st Aid. The Club will look forward to seeing you all next term.

U10, U8’s Girls: Our U10 & U8 girls are showing great potential. there was a great turn out on Saturday morning last with 29 girls. Keep up the great work girls it will pay off. Training will continue on Saturday morning at 9:30am as usual.
