Can you please ensure that the information below is passed onto parents & players who will be involved at the Activity Day in Croke Park from Monaghan.
The plan is to leave Monaghan from Topaz Monaghan Town (across from St Macartan’s College) at 7.00am, stop off at Clontibret (Braeside Shop) at 7:15am. A second bus will start at Castleblayney (Faugh GAA Grounds) at 7:15am, with a pick up point at the Carrickmacross Emmetts GAA Grounds (Emmett Park) at 7.30am. Both buses are scheduled to arrive at Croke Park just before 9.00am. Could all parents please inform Patrick McCarron what pick up point they will meet the bus at as soon as possible.
Monaghan’s time slot to play in Croke Park is 9:30 to 11am and the tour of the Museum is due to take place from 11:30 to 12:30.
The tour of the Museum will last approximately one hour and then we will be sitting down to eat lunch in the Cusack Stand in section 401. A Snack Unit will be open to the public in Section 307 and the Museum Cafe will also be open to the public from 9.30am.
The return journey from Croke Park will commence at approximately 12:45pm. We estimate that we should be back in Carrick for 2.00pm, Castleblayney for 2:15pm, Clontibret 2:30pm and Monaghan for 2.45pm. The drop off points will be the same as the pick up points.
Please be advised that these RETURN times are estimates and parents should be aware that the return journey arrival times are approximate.
In order that the players get full value for their day will club officials and parents please ensure that all players bring:
1. Shorts, Socks & T-shirt or jersey (possibly club jersey or club colours), jumper & Football boots. Hurlers should also bring their helmet and hurl along with them.
2. Clothes to change into after the games
3. Packed Lunch for the day (there will be no food provided).
NB: Could players please avoid having egg and nuts (eg snickers bar) in their lunch as one of the players attending have a severe egg and nut allergy.
I have arranged enough people to help out on the day, so parents or people from the local club wishing to attend will have to make their own way up to Croke Park. Parking will be available for family, friends and supporters in the Davin Stand Car Park (access to car park via North Circular Road).
Spectators are not permitted onto the Croke Park pitch at any time and are requested to sit in the Cusack Stand. Specators may move around to the Hogan Stand via the stand if required. Photographs can be taken from the stand. Opportunities for photos will take place immediately after the games have finished at 11am.
If anyone has any questions or queries about the day, please do not hesitate to contact myself (Patrick McCarron 087 216 3580) and I will be glad to help.
