Championship
Our interest in this years championship is finished after a very poor performance on Friday last in Inniskeen. However all is not lost as we are sure to remain in intermediate nuxt year and with a few more wins may make the semi finals of the league which is much more than we ever expected at the beginning of the year. We have Tyholland as visitors next Sunday morning at 12 oclock in Pairc Eanna.
UNDER 16S: Hard luck to our u16 team who were beaten at home by Sean Mc Dermotts on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-11. A big welcome back to our goalie Ciaran O’Reilly who was kept busy throughout the match. While there was nothing between the teams at half time the Seans were the stronger outfit in the second half. We had a number of good scoring chances which ,if successfull ,could have resulted in a different scoreline at the end of the match but it was not to be.
Our next outing is an away fixture to Crematin on Thursday 25th at 7.00pm as the competition for a top 4 finish in the league continues.
Under 12
The U12’s lost out to Scotstown in the semi final of the Divsion 1 league in Pairc Eanna on Saturday past. The Killanny boys started brightly but were unfortunate to conceed two goals early on and this ensured they were always playing catch up. The lads battled bravely through out and could not be faulted for effort. This year has been a steep learning curve for the team but no doubt it will stand them in good stead in the years to come.
Well done to Christopher Tobin and John Kelly who took part in the U12 Croke Park activity day.
