Thanks to super sub Conor Mathers when introduced in the 20th minute Cill Eanna were trailing by 4points he had the ball in the back of the net on the 23rd minute and repeated the same skill on the 27th minute, 2 excellent saves by goalkeeper Kevin Quinn, some great defending and approach work from the team and also for the accurate boot of Jack Kiernan who blazed over 7points and allow captain Cillian Leegan lift the reserve cup much to the delight of the large travelling Cill Eanna supporters. Clones started the strongest and had 1g 1p on board before Jack Kiernan added a free, Clones replied and Cillian Leegan added a point on the 14th minute. Clones scored two points and Jack replied Darragh Markey added his point and Shane Grimes goaled to bring the half time score of 1g 5p each. At the restart Gavin Traynor started the ball rolling with a point but Clones replied. Jack Kiernan sent over a 45 and Clones replied with 2 points from play. Shane Grimes levelled again and Jack added a point from play. We were hit a succer punch with a goal from Clones but Jack steadied himself and replied, Clones added three from play and Jack Kiernan pointed a free. Twenty minutes gone in second half we were trailing by four points and ENTER Conor Mathers and the rest is history. Gavin Traynor pointed and Conor Russel cherried the cake with a point on the 29th minute.
