Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 4th August
Intermediate Team: Emyvale have a double date with Rockcorry this week. On Saturday evening they meet them in the Mc Elvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Championship in Smithborough with a throw in time of 7pm. Then on next Wednesday the sides meet again the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League in Rockcorry with a throw in time of 7.30pm
Minors: Emyvale Minor Team play the winners of Killanny/Carrickmacross on next Tuesday 9th August in Blackhill in the Minor Championship Division 2 Semi-final with a throw in time of 7pm.
U21s: The U21 team bowed out of this year’s Division 2 Championship when they were beaten by Latton on Wednesday evening last by three points. Emyvale accommodated Latton by playing fourteen aside as Latton were short in numbers. It was a lively entertaining game with little separating the teams but injuries cost Emyvale dearly & Latton held on to win by 3 points.

players, who was involved in a very serious accident last weekend.
Emyvale GAA are running the Tully Summer Camp between Monday 8th August and Friday 12th
August. The camp is open to children between the ages of 6yrs to 12yrs old and costs €30 for the first

U-8 next Go Games blitz this Saturday 6 th August in Clones between 9:30-11:30am.
U-10 next Go Games blitz on Saturday 20th August in Clones between 9:30-11:30am.
U-12 Division 2 next match will take place this Saturday 06 th August away against Truagh with a throw
in time of 12pm. Training will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7-8pm in Tully.
A Croke Park Activity Day has been organised for players who are 12 years of age (born 2004).
Monaghan and three other counties from Ulster will be represented with each club sending two players.
Gary Treanor & Mark Donohue will represent Emyvale GAA when this event takes place on Monday
15th August 2016 in Croke Park. The purpose of the initiative is to give our young players an
opportunity to play our national games at GAA headquarters so hopefully they will have a brilliant day.
U-14 Division 1 lost their last match at home against Latton. The final league match will take place on
Saturday 13th August away against Monaghan Harps with a throw in time of 12pm. Training will be
held on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7-8pm in Tully.
U-14 Division 5 played Latton in the shield competition last Saturday and won. Their next match in the
shield competition will take place on Saturday 27th August away against Scotstown with a throw in
time of 3pm. Training will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7-8pm in Tully.
U-16’s were due to play the replayed Championship quarter final match against Clontibret last
Thursday, but this game was conceded by Clontibret. Championship Semi Final still to be fixed. Next
league match is scheduled to take place on Thursday 18th August at home against Latton with a throw
in time of 7:30pm. Training will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 8-9pm in Tully.
