Doohamlet GFC Club Notes
Senior Championship: Doohamlet were eliminated from the 2016 Greenfield Foods Senior
Championship on Saturday evening last but not before giving our neighbours Clontibret a very
competitive game. Missed chances and a few wrong options taken proved costly for Doohamlet and the main difference between the two teams was the shooting accuracy from
Conor McManus who gave an exhibition of score taking.
For Doohamlet Colin Walshe, Ciaran McManus, Kevin McArdle, Michael Marray and Niall J.
Connolly impressed throughout. Our younger players Conor Marray, Jamie Walshe, Barry
McGinn, Damian Ward all U21 years of age can be very happy with their performances and
can only learn and gain experience from playing such illustrious opponents. Doohamlet now
as a team must focus on our remaining league fixtures and ensure we play this grade of football next season. We wish Clontibret all the best in the remainder of this competition.
Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Gary Boylan and Nicola Malone who were married recently
in All Saints Church.
