Next Week s Jackpot 2,100.00

Previous weeks have seen the takings in the lotto drop significantly, a lot of you know this is our main source of income. This is a very simple way to keep the club running and all we ask is that all players and members make an effort and try and take part in our lotto. All envelopes can be dropped into either of the 2 shops, chip shop or either of the 2 pubs in the village

Reserves

Last Saturday we hosted Oram in the final round of the Div.3 reserve league in a must win game to ensure we progressed into the semi finals. Once again Manager Micky Tierney showed his specialty in bringing players out of retirement as we had a few new faces out to help with the numbers due to holidays and injury’s.

It was ourselves to start the strongest with Donal Tierney grabbing a goal and a point early on to leave us with a comfortable lead but soon after the away side managed to come to level terms before the interval.

In the 2nd half it was Connor leonard to show his class upfront with 3 points in a row while Fearghal Sheridan started to get to grips in midfield and after a very nervy finish we managed to hold out for a 1 point win. As it stands we progress into the semi finals due to be played on Wednesday the 27th of july.

U10’S

The future stars were out last Saturday as they travelled to Truagh to play in a blitz tournament.

We played in 4 games, the first was against Ramor united from Cavan and won it, the 2nd was Buncrana Co. Donegal and lost out to them, next up was kinawley from Fermanagh and Pearse Og from Armagh but fell short against both teams.

Over all it was a fantastic event which was very well run and a valuable experience for the youth of the club. Team was;

Philip Neeson, Conan Rooney, Jack McBride, Karen Johnston, Alex Mc Bride, Aodhan Boylan, Jamie Gavin, Kieran Mullaney, Noah Mc Ginty, Dylan Rooney, Nathan McAree, Patrick Croakin, Finn Mc Goldrick, Caolan brady and Jamie Doran. Well done to all players and great to see such great support from the family of the players.

Club gear

We are pleased to say we have a full range of club gear available on the O’Neills online club shop. It ranges from the new replica jerseys, tracksuit tops, t-shirts, hoodies, half zips, body warmers, shorts and hats all that can be customised with your own Names. Thanks very much to Linda for all the hard work to insure this was made possible.

The Ned run

The annual Ned Boylan 5 mile memorial fun run/walk takes place on Friday the 5th of August at 7.30pm. It’s a fantastic event for such brilliant causes and we urge as many members both young and old no matter what fitness level to please spare no more than an hour of your evening and call down to Scotstown Gaa pitch to register on the evening before the race.

Sympathy

The club extends its deepest sympathy to the Mc Caffery and Mc Farland Family on the death of Noeleen Mc Farland.
