Gaelic4Girls:
Our Gaelic4Girls players, mentors & parents travelled to Croke Park on Monday for the National Gaelic4Girls Blitz which was the culmination of hard work by the girls and their coaches Laura, Fiona and Amy over the last few months. The Blitz Day is all about fun, inclusiveness, positivity, co-operation and of course hundreds of happy girls!
It was an amazing opportunity for the girls to play in Croke Park and head home with a medal.
Thanks to Colleen and Sinead the coaches on the day who did a super job and also to the parents who travelled. The future of the club looks good so keep up the good work!
Seniors:
Last Friday Aughnamullen travelled to Corduff for Round 3 of the league. Aughnamullen opened the scoring but Corduff with a mix of experience and youth were up for the task and went in with a 5 point advantage on a score of 2-8 to 2-3 at half time. Both teams had impressive passages of play in the second half with Aughnamullen narrowing the margin to 3 points but Corduff regained momentum and finished stronger on a scoreline of 3-11 to 3-8 making it 3 wins out of 3.
