U-12’s

It was a week of mixed fortunes for the U-12’s as they had a great win on Wednesday night over Magheracloone in Magheracloone. Unfortunately they lost to Donaghamoyne on Saturday when there were missing a few players but the lads are competing extremely well in Division 2. The U-12’s next outing in the league is against Truagh on Saturday the 11th of June in Clones.

U-14’s

Had Championship against Patrick Emmets on Tuesday night. Next game for these lads is a trip to Aghabog this Saturday at 12pm to play Patrick Emmets again.

U-16’s

Had a great and well deserved win over Patrick Emmets on Thursday last on a scoreline of 2-14 to 3-09. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the lads and their management team. They now have a well deserved break to concentrate on their exams.

Leaving and Junior Cert Exams

We would like to wish all our underage players who are due to sit the Junior and Leaving Cert exams the very best of luck. Go n-éirí on t-ádh leat!

Junior B’s

Had a convincing win against Killanny on Wednesday last in the Peace Link on a scoreline of 4-16 to 2-05. This leaves us in a strong position in the league and hopefully the lads will be able to build on this next Saturday the 11th of May when we face Inniskeen down in Inniskeen.

Please make an effort to support all our teams.

Congratulations

To Fabian Beggan and the Monaghan Minors who beat Down in the first Round of the Ulster Championship in Clones on Sunday evening. The lads have built on a strong league campaign to overcome the Mourne Men on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-11. Fabian came on for the last 10 minutes and hopefully the lads will have many more days out this Summer.

Best of Luck

To James Mealiff, Fintan Kelly and the rest of the Monaghan Team as they take on Down in the Ulster Championship this Sunday at 2pm in St Tiarnachs Park, Clones. Hopefully the lads will give us another exciting summer and kick it off on Sunday with a win.

Get Well Soon

The Club would like to wish Eddie McKenna, who was hospitalised last week a speedy recovery. We hope to see Eddie who is one of the Clubs best Supporters back at the games soon. Go mBíodh biseach ort gan mhoill.

Stewards Needed

The club is asking anyone that is available this coming Sunday to assist in the stewarding of the first round of the Ulster Senior Championship between Monaghan and Down. We need Stewards for carparking etc. Please let any member of the executive know if you are available.

Condolences

The club would like to extend its condolences to former club PRO Barry McKenna and the McKenna Family on the passing of Sean McKenna. Sean originally from Tyrone was well known around the Clones area and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

U-8 & U-10’s

Will be training on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm in the Peace Link. All are welcome.
