U-6 ,U-8 & U -10 training continues n Concra from 6-30 to 7-30. New members welcome helmets and hurls provided. We had plenty of young hurlers in Cloghan last week when we played East Cavan Gaela, Carrickmacross and Clontibret. Plenty of matches coming up n June and July so make sure and practice. U-14.
We entertained a young but spirited Truagh side on Monday evening in Concra.
We hit the ground running and David Moorehead with his new found confidence struck for an excellent point with the opening attack and followed with a major a few minutes later. Thomas Hughes showed great touches left and right and fired over three points in quick succession . Brandon MC Cague came to our rescue with two fine saves in a matter of minutes before Truagh opened their account from a free.
The remainder of the half was somewhat scrappy but Jason Campbell , Nathan Mc Ardle ably assisted by Conall Mc Hugh worked to create a number of scoring chances which were spurned. In the second half Joe Carey Paudie Heavin and Senan O Brien stepped up their performances and Pauric Bolger showed flashes of his ability as we gained a stranglehold on the game. The introduction of the big fellas Caleb and Ryan saw us dominate the remainder of the game and we ran out comfortable winners. Many thanks to Damian MC Carron and the Truagh team for making the effort to fulfil the fixture and keep the game alive in the north of the county. David Moorhead 1:1
Thomas Hughes 1:4
Conan McHugh 1:1
Clean Mcardle 0:1
Cillian hanrathy 1:0

Half time 1:4 to 0:1
