Golf Classic: The club’s Golf Classic was a roaring success last Saturday 21 May. The first prize was taken home by Gary Doyle’s Kepak team, who were also the main sponsors of the event, with an impressive haul of 105 points. Many thanks to all those involved in organising and helping out on the day. We would also like to say a massive thank you to all who sponsored in the event and those teams that participated on the day.

Reserve Championship: The reserves suffered a heavy defeat to Monaghan Harps last Friday evening in the quarter final of the O’Duffy Cup. Despite a spirited showing in the first half which had the Harps leading by two points at half time, the Ballybay men suffered with a number of injuries in the second half and never got to grips with the difficult playing conditions.

Fixtures: Please see the official fixture lists.

Best of Luck: Best wishes to club representative Colm Lennon who represents the Ballybay Pearse Brothers in this year’s country minor squad. The minors are in championship action this Sunday in Clones at 7pm. We wish Colm, the rest of the panel & the management team all the best for the season.

Congratulations: Well done to Eoin McKearney who was recently awarded the student of the year in his sixth year at Our Ladies School Castleblayney. Keep up the good work Eoin.

Ballybay Pearse Brothers Club membership for the 2016 season is now available. There are three options available this year.

Gold Membership – €240.

Silver Membership – €100.

Bronze membership – €30.

Bingo: Bingo takes place every Tuesday night at 9pm in the clubhouse. This is a great opportunity for the community to come together midweek and have a good night while maybe even winning a few bob. We would all really appreciate if you, your friends or your family could support this if you can at all. There is transport available to the centre.
