Gaeil Triúcha All Ireland Champions

Heartiest congratulations to Gaeil Triúcha on winning the Scór Sinsear All Ireland Léiriú Title in the INEC Killarney on Saturday evening last.  A huge Gaeil Triúcha crowd had travelled to Kerry in support of their Leiriú group (probably the best supported club there) and they were not to be disappointed. Paddy Flood’s group had improved with each round of the competition and this continued in Kerry on Saturday with a faultless performance. While their depiction of 1916 events was compelling and absorbing they added a huge entertainment aspect to the drama which captured the audience’s attention and ultimately the winning marks from the adjudicators. There were great scenes of jubilation and celebrations when the results were announced with the huge travelling Truagh crowd making themselves heard in the huge arena. Celebrations continued on Sunday evening in St. Mellans where a huge crowd of locals gathered to welcome home their All Ireland Champions.  The Gaeil Triúcha club have been stalwarts of Scór in Monaghan for many years and they truly deserve this All Ireland victory following many years of promoting Culture & Scór in their club and county.  Congratulations to All Ireland champions Brian Clinton, Claire Mc Meel, Mickey Corrigan, Denis O Hagan, Majella Connolly, Mark Skinnader, Therese Mc Kenna , Ciara King and mentor Paddy Flood

Emyvale Set Dancers and the Drumhowan quiz team competed in very stiff competitions in Killarney and were unlucky not to bring home All Ireland medals on this occasion.

Comhghairdeas libh ar fad.
