On Saturday past Monaghan U16 Development Squad travelled to Dromard in Longford to play their U16s in a challenge. Monaghan put in a good performance over the hour, with Aaron McGee (Aughnamullen) Ryan O Tool (Scotstown) Craig Callan (Castleblayney Faughs) very good in defence, Kieran Duffy & Kieran Marron (Aughnamullen) & Tadgh Kirk O Callaghan (Carrickmacross Emmetts) all working hard upfront. Monaghan ran out worthy winners in a scoreline of 5:10 to 3:07. It was clear to see that these players have a very busy schedule with the club scene back in full swing, with this in mind this squad will have another break for two weeks. We hope then to have two sessions in advance of the Buncrana Cup competition which will take place in cloghan on Saturday 30th April against Cavan & Derry.
Sean Treanor(Tyholland) picked up an ankle injury, so we would like to wish him a speedy recover.
Following is the team that travelled; Aaron McGee (Aughnamellen), Liam Og Murray (Magheracloone), Cormac McKenna (Truagh), Tiernan McSkane (Ballybay), Padriag Hughes (Latton), Eoghan Treanor (Emyvale) Robert McCloskey (Carrick), Sean Treanor (Tyholland), Tiernan McCourt (Carrick), Tiernan Duffy (Aughnamullen) , Ryan O Toole (Scotstown), Kieran Duffy (Aughnamullen) Adrian Alford (Clones – Coach/Selector).
