Clontibret Notes

We take on Ballybay on Saturday at 6pm in Ballybay. Then it’s Doohamlet on Wednesday at 7.15pm in Clontibret. On Sunday, 17th April we’re away to Carrick and home to the Harps on Saturday , 23rd April.

Platinum Tanks RFL

Clontibret 2-13, Scotstown 2-11. We battled to the very end and it paid off as a number of late scores, especially the goals from Kieran Greenan and Rodney Gorman secured victory at the death. Well done to all. We have a break in games now with the next one penciled in for Wednesday, 4th May at home to Latton.

Minors

We first minor game of the season due to be played on Tuesday was called off due to a bereavement in the Truagh club. It will likely be played on Sunday

On Tuesday we’re at home to Magheracloone at 6.30pm. On Tuesday, 19th April we’re at home to the Harps at 7pm.

Under 16

Clontibret 8-12, Cremartin 4-9. We had a successful outing against Cremartin to get the league off to a good start. Next up is Killanny at home this evening, Thursday at 6.30pm. Next week we have a bye and then we’re away to Emyvale on Thursday, 21st at 7pm.

Under 14

We play Patrick Emmet’s in Aghabog on Saturday, 9th April at 2pm.

Under 12

Our u12s had two good outings against Killanny on Saturday. The first team played out an exciting draw, while the development team got narrowly beaten by a point. Both teams put in brilliant performances. Next outing for them is away to Scotstown on Saturday, April 16th at 2pm.

U10

Training continues on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm.

U8

Training continues this Saturday morning at 10am.

The Kube Launch Night this Sunday @6pm in the club

As you know, Clontibret GAA are hosting a major fundraiser “The KUBE” (as seen on TV) on the May bank holiday weekend. 36 Contestant’s will be set tasks that will test their Physical Ability, Mental Ability, Intelligence, and Responsiveness against ‘The Kube’ to be in with a chance to win the €2,000 first prize. The Kube Fundraising Event, will include a High Class Professional Event and will entertain, and WOW! our members and guests on the night. There will be a launch night this Sunday 10th April at 6pm in the club. All contestants and family members are invited along with their supporters for an evening’s entertainment that will whet the appetite for the main event. The evening will consist of a few samples of the tasks that the contestants

may be undertaking and ‘The Big Heat Draw’. There will also be some giveaways for anyone attending. Hope to see you all there.

Fun Run

Big thanks to all our people who took part in our Fun Run last Saturday. Thankfully the weather held of long enough and we all made it back safely. A great day was had by all both young and old

Thanks to Gerry McMahon on again supplying us with our sound. Also to all the helpers and stewards for making the day run so smooth. And to all the parents who left in food for the refreshments after…much appreciated

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
