Ulster Minor Hurling Shield Semi-Final

Donegal 4-14 Monaghan 0-6

Monaghan exited the Ulster Minor Hurling Shield after this semi-final win for Donegal in Ballybofey last Friday evening. Cathal Doherty and Caolán McDermott hit 3-11 between them for a dominant Donegal team who put Monaghan to the sword.

Goals by Doherty, McDermott and Cian Randels had Donegal 3-7 to 0-3 clear by half-time and McDermott found the net once again after the restart. Luke McKenna, Niall McManus and Nathan O’Donoghue hit points for Monaghan, but a string of scores by Doherty and McDermott helped Donegal cruise through to the final against Tyrone.
