Club Membership:

It’s now the last chance to renew your Club Membership for the year ahead, or to become a member for the very first time. The cost of becomming a full member of Donaghmoyne GFC is just €20 a person, and €50 for a family. To pay your membership please call to the clubrooms any Monday evening between 9 and 10 pm, or just contact any committee member. Have your say and be a part of what promises to be another great year for our club.

Seniors:

Last Sunday afternoon saw the start of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League season as we travelled to Rockorry for a tough opening away fixture. On a perfect day for football both sides took a while to settle into their stride as they dusted off the Winter cobwebs. Eventually an entriguing game of football broke out with both sides battling hard for the win. Thankfully it was Donaghmoyne who came out on top and they recorded a perfect start to the season.

Reserves:

This Saturday afternoon our Reserve squad travel to Ballybay for the 2nd fixture of their Platinum Tanks RFL Div1B campaign. Throw in is at 5 o clock in Ballybay this Saturday. Come down and support the team as they look to build on their good start to the year last time out.

U14s:

Our U14s continue their Division One League campaign this Saturday afternoon at home to Larron.

Throw in is at 2 o clock in Donaghmoyne this Saturday afternoon. Come out and support the lads as they look to build on their good win last time out.

Mini Fontenoys:

Mini Fontenoys training commences for the year ahead this Saturday the 26th of March between 11-12. The cost is €2 per family, gum shield essential.

Congratulations:

We’d like to congratulate David Garland, Stephen Finnegan, Ronan Mc Donald, Shane Woods and all the Patrician High School Senior team on winning the Mac Larnon Cup Final in Armagh on St. Patricks Day against Cookstown. This is a fantastic achievement that these lads thoroughly deserved for their hard work and dedication. We wish them all the best also as they take on Holy Rosary, Mountbellew in this weeks All Ireland Semi Final.

Best of Luck:

The very best of luck to Oran Martin and all his Patrician High School teammates in the All Ireland U16 Post Primary Schools Final this Saturday afternoon. The game takes place in Pearse Park in Longford on Saturday at 2 o clock, so if at all possible make the trip to support Oran and the rest of the team.

Coaching Courses:

Easter Monday Coffee Morning:

Brendan and Mary Mc Skeane, Tusker, are hosting a coffee morning in their home on Easter Monday from 10am to 3pm. All proceeds raised are going towards Castleblayney Cancer Society. Everyone is welcome and your support would be greatly appreciated.

County Teams:

Well done to all the County teams who were in action last weekend but especially to all the Donaghmoyne Girls involved, with the Minors, U16s and U14s.

We would like to congratulate Sinead and Derek Walsh on the birth of their baby boy Jamie recently.

Dinner Dance:

A reminder that our annual Dinner Dance takes place in the Glencarn Hotel this Saturday the 26th of March at 8pm. This promises to be a night filled with fun and dancing as we celebrate the achievemnts of 2015. Music by Paddy Poitín. Tickets available from committee members.

Gaelic4Mothers + Others:

Donaghmoyne ladies are in the process of registering a team for the Gaelic4Mothers + Others. Further information to follow in the coming weeks regarding training etc. for women interested in playing. No experience of playing Gaelic Football neccessary.
