On Tuesday the 1st March the club held a very successful A.G.M in the Heritage Room in the Community Centre. A new committee was elected as follows;

At the AGM, it was announced that the 2015 Club-Person of the Year was Bernice McNally and 2015 Player of the Year was Ben Woods. Congratulations to both on their well-deserved awards. Our next Committee meeting is next Tuesday (15th March) at 8:30pm, in the Heritage Room. All committee members are asked to attend this very important meeting.
Both our Senior and Junior teams are training away. The first game for our Intermediate team is a home tie against Aughnamullen. Our Junior Team begin their campaign at home to Scotstown. Dates and times of fixtures will be in next week’s notes.
Membership:
Club Membership is now due and is payable to any Committee member. Standard membership will be €50.
Premium membership will be €100 which will entitle a member to free admission to all home matches in the Intermediate, Junior and Minor Leagues in 2016 while Family Membership is available at €150 and will entitle you and your family to free admission to all home matches in the Intermediate, Junior and Minor Leagues.
In addition, all members will be given free entry to any Club Draws for Tickets run during the course of the year.
Ladies:
Corduff Ladies Gaelic Football club are delighted to announce details of an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls that is commencing on the 16th of April 2016. Gaelic4Girls is initially an 8 week programme aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12years.
It is focuses on fun and participation, allowing girls to get an introduction to Ladies Gaelic Football in a non-competitive environment. It will be held on Corduff pitch every Saturday from 10am-11:30am commencing on the 16th of April. On completion of the programme, participants are presented with certificates and T-shirt for their participation. Following the 8weeks, the girls will be encouraged to register with our Ladies Football club. A Mini Blitz will also be held with another Gaelic4Girls site after the 8weeks and this is a major highlight of the programme.
This is the first Gaelic4Girls programme to be held in the area and all girls from the Corduff and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend and learn the basic skills of Ladies Gaelic Football. This is a great way to make new friends. The cost of the entire programme is only €8.

Handball:
The Handball Club brought the first piece of silverware to the parish last Wednesday evening, retaining the GAA League Title by beating Carrick on a scoreline of 7-1 in the final in Bawn. The team members were Ciaran Brennan, Aidan Marron, George McKitterick, Brendan McNally, Gareth King, and Micheal Hanratty. Congratulations to all involved.
Commiserations to Peter Brennan & Jimmy Hayes who were beaten in the Ulster Golden Masters Doubles last weekend.
The Corduff Handball League is in its last week, with the semi-finals to be played next week.
