Corduff:
At the Corduff Gaels AGM last Tuesday a new committee failed to be elected. As a result the meeting was adjourned and an EGM will be held on Tuesday 23rd of February at 8pm in The Heritage Room in the Community Centre. A club is only as good as it’s members and cannot function without volunteers so we are calling on people to make themselves available to fill these vacant positions for the future of the club in 2016.
Congratulations to Padraic Keenan and the Monaghan senior team on another Division 1 league win against Down last Sunday in Clones. Next stop Croke Park on Saturday 27th February.
Ladies:
Corduff Ladies Club is delighted to announce that we have been selected for Gaelic For Girls which is the hugely successful programme run by The Ladies Gaelic Association in Croke Park. Corduff is the only Monaghan club to be selected. The Gaelic4Girls programme aims to boost the number of U12 girls playing the sport in the club. Corduff club is lucky to have one of the best in the sport Laura McEnaney who will be our head coach. This is a very exciting programme so watch this space for more details!
Registration: Registration for all those intending to play with the Ladies Club takes place next Friday night 19th February in The Community Centre.
County News: Congratulations to Naomi Cogan who made her debut last Sunday on the Monaghan Senior team that played Galway in Tuam. Unfortunately the result didn’t go our way. This Sunday the seniors are at home to Dublin at 2pm. Venue to be confirmed. Also we wish Laura Mc Enaney a speedy recovery.
