Mr & Mrs

What a brilliant night on Saturday last for Mr & Mrs. A massive thank you to our couples who took part in the quiz; Fintan & Denise Cunningham , Finian and Elizabeth O’Hart, Niall & Linda Nolan, Colin & Colette McCaughey, Paul & Oonagh O’Reilly, Tom & Mary Kelly. After an interesting first round of questions, three couples made it to the final. However, nothing could separate two couples, Fintan & Denise and Paul & Oonagh, and the night ended in a draw. Special Thanks to the Killeevan GFC contingent that came in and brought some great banter.

Well done to all our Players of the Years who received their awards on Saturday night; Eugene Holland (Senior), Dean O Connor (Reserve), Daniel Freeman (U18), Jack Lynch (U16), Reece Kierans (U14), Ryan Nolan(U12) and Senan Monaghan(U12MI). A great Achievement by all our Players of the year.

Congratulation to our €300 prize winner drawn from all the ticket stubs; David Maguire from Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Well done David and thanks for supporting the event.

We would like to extend a special mention to all our sponsors, without their support, we could never host a great event and run our club. Please support local and keep it in the community. We are fortunate that there are too many to list here but check out our Facebook page to see the full list of businesses who generously sponsored the night.

A special thanks to everyone who helped organising in the run up to the night and on the night, you know who you are! Massive thanks to our MC James Sheerin, absolute funnyman and ran the show brilliantly. Finally thanks to the great crowd that turned out!

Under 10’s

Well done to our under 10’s who spent the last three Saturdays battling their hearts out against Monaghan Harps and Scotstown in an indoor blitz. The lads were excellent over the three weeks and we are safe in the knowledge that the future is bright with this group of young lads coming through.

Under 12’s and U’14s

Both teams started back this week with indoor sessions. Weather will decide when and where training is so please contact any member of the executive or contact us on Facebook in relation to when they will be training.

Best of Luck

To Fintan and the Monaghan team who play Dublin this Saturday in the next round of the National League. All roads lead to Coker for what promises to be a cracker.

Hard Luck

To James Mealiff and the Monaghan U-21’s who lost to Tyrone in the Shamrock Cup Final on Sunday last. There is great optimism for this group of players so hopefully they will have a strong run in the upcoming championship.

Last Man Standing

Continues this weekend with the return of the National League. Of the 40+ that started only 21 remain. We look forward to seeing who comes out on top.
